NCIS’ Jimmy Palmer star pens NCIS Hawaii tribute as CBS update revealed ‘Amazing!’

NCIS’ Jimmy Palmer actor Brian Dietzen has sent a message of congratulations to the team over at NCIS Hawaii.
NCIS actor Brian Dietzen has portrayed medical expert Jimmy Palmer since the first season came out almost 20 years ago and remains a big part of the drama today. During this time, CBS viewers have welcomed spin-offs in the shape of NCIS Los Angeles, NCIS New Orleans and now NCIS Hawaii. The latest extension of the franchise family is set on the beautiful island state and sees a female agent take over as the lead for the first time.
Unlike the previous NCIS dramas, the cast of NCIS Hawaii is headed up by female agent Jane Tennant (played by Vanessa Lachey).

But not only is she the first woman for the job, but she is also a single mum who tries her best to split her time between work and her children.

This isn’t the only major difference that makes NCIS Hawaii stand out either.

Agent Lucy Tara (Yasmine Al-bustami) is the franchise’s first openly gay lead character with an on-off romance with CIA agent Kate Whistler (Tori Anderson).

Lucy and Whistler had previously dated but things didn’t work out too well so things ended relatively quickly.

The pair decided to give things another go but Lucy broke up with Whistler when she found out her girlfriend was technically still in another relationship.

Lucy feels she can no longer trust her so, for now at least, their love affair is on hold.

But while it’s not been an easy start for some of the characters, NCIS star Brian Dietzen has highlighted some big news for NCIS Hawaii.

Taking to Twitter, Dietzen retweeted a post from Notes for Nerds whose bio reads they are a “TV ratings executive”.

They posted: “#CBSRatingsNews: #NCISHawaii hit a monster number last night with 9.3 million viewers.

“7 day projections are almost 12 million! #NCISHawaii is handily the 2021-2022 season’s top new series. Aloha!”

Dietzen couldn’t help but show his support for the fellow NCIS franchise.
The Jimmy Palmer star tweeted three mind-blown emojis before writing: “Amazing!

“Congratulations @VanessaLachey @csilb and everyone at @NCISHawaiiCBS!”

Replying to his tweet, the official NCIS Hawaii Twitter account posted: “Nothing makes us happier than support from THE Brian Dietzen!”

Dietzen then simply added: “You know I got you! Congrats!”
Despite the drama going down a storm with fans, there has been no news on whether or not there will be more episodes to come.

CBS has not confirmed if NCIS Hawaii is going to be renewed for a second season.

However, given the ratings and reactions from fans, it is likely there will be plenty more to come from Jane and her team.

NCIS season 19 and NCIS Hawaii continues every Monday on CBS. A UK release date hasn’t yet been announced.
