NCIS season 19 episode 13: What we know so far about Jimmy Palmer star’s episode
NCIS has been missing from TV screens for the past few weeks but when it does return, it’ll be time to enjoy season 19’s 13th episode, co-written by Jimmy Palmer star Brian Dietzen.NCIS’ Jimmy Palmer (played by Brian Dietzen) is a veteran character in the CBS, having starred in the series since season one. For the first time though, Dietzen has taken a step back behind the camera to co-write an episode which will be the upcoming instalment, episode 13. Here’s everything we know so far about Dietzen’s screenwriting debut.
At the beginning of the year, Dietzen took to social media to share the good news of him writing an NCIS episode alongside screenwriter Scott Williams.
He posted a picture of himself holding up a script with the title of the instalment blacked out.
In the caption, Dietzen wrote: “You guys, I got to write a script of @ncis_cbs with my pal @mostxsw and it’s been a great adventure so far.
“We jump into filming this bad boy after the Thanksgiving weekend, and I couldn’t be more excited.
“It’s my first time writing for the show, and it’s been a great experience.”
Since the big reveal, plenty of details have been teased as to what fans can expect from season 19, episode 13.
First of all, the episode in question is called The Helpers and while a description hasn’t been released just yet, it is known it will feature a big Jimmy-central storyline.
In season 18, the chief medical examiner suffered the loss of his beloved wife Breene Palmer (Michelle Pierce) who died of coronavirus.
Fans were heartbroken to see him try to come to terms with her death but another member of his family will be making an appearance in The Helpers.
Making their debut in NCIS is Jimmy’s daughter Victoria who hasn’t been seen in the drama since she was a baby.
Breena gave birth in season 12, episode 13’s We Build, We Fight and it was particularly emotional as they named their daughter after Donald “Ducky” Mallard’s (David McCallum) late mother.
Palmer teased his onscreen daughter on social media, sharing a picture of himself and a young girl sitting in NCIS chairs with their backs to the camera.
Fans couldn’t help but express their excitement at meeting Victoria at last.
One fan wrote: “My goodness! So much has changed on #NCIS over the years but it’s still feels like not too long ago, Victoria was born! I’m really looking forward to the new episode.”
Another delighted viewer commented: “*Gasps* Doctor Palmer…. We get to see your baby girl on NCIS??????!!!!!!!!! I SO FREAKING GEEKED!!!!!!!!!!”
While a third added: “YES! Dr. Palmer’s little girl, Victoria. Her GrandDucky absolutely MUST be there too.”
Victoria won’t be the only guest star in the upcoming episode either as a familiar face will be returning.
At the end of last year, it was revealed actress Meredith Eaton would be back to reprise her role of Centre for Disease Control researcher Carol Wilson.
She was also a college friend of former forensic expert Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) and hasn’t been in the drama since season seven.
So it will be interesting to see why Carol returns and how she is going to be involved in the upcoming episode.
NCIS is available to watch on CBS in America. A UK release date for season 19 hasn’t been announced.
