NCIS LA’s Daniela Ruah panics on return to filming as she records awkward blunder ‘Oh God’
NCIS LA star Daniela Ruah – best known for playing fan-favourite Kensi Blye in the CBS drama – has shared a rather awkward moment from her return to filming season 13.
The 13th season of NCIS: Los Angeles may currently be off the air as the CBS drama enjoys a lengthy hiatus for the month of February but that doesn’t mean the likes of Marty Deeks star Eric Christian Olsen, Kensi Blye’s Daniela Ruah, and G Callen actor Chris O’Donnell aren’t still working hard behind the scenes. The hiatus was done to coincide with the Winter Olympics coverage from Beijing, China, but back in January filming was also halted following a surge of Omicron cases in Los Angeles, USA.
But the cast and crew are now back to work filming the next episodes of NCIS LA with the likes of Ruah and co-star Medalion Rahimi both sharing clips from their first day back.
However, while Rahimi’s sneak peek behind the scenes was smooth sailing as she drove through the set on the back of a buggy, Ruah’s insight went a little more awry.
Ruah shared a clip to her Instagram Stories of her sitting in a car on the CBS drama’s set.
She jokingly captioned the clip: “Totally focussed on day 1…@NCISLA.”
And as she began to record, it soon became clear what exactly the star was teasing about.
As she scanned the camera around the car, Ruah began to sing: “Back in action on NCIS LA…”
However, as a camera and the crew outside the car came into shot, a voice could be heard shouting: “Set!”
Realising filming was about to begin, Ruah appeared to panic as she quickly turned her phone off and said: “Oh God, we’re set to go!”
The hilarious blunder didn’t seem to affect filming as Ruah quickly put her phone away before it derailed the scene.
The NCIS LA didn’t give away any other details about what fans can expect from the episode currently filming.
However, there is some good news for NCIS LA fans desperate for new episodes as CBS has announced when season 13 will be back on air.
Season 13, episode nine, titled Under the Influence, will premiere on Sunday, February 27 and CBS has shared a brief synopsis to tease what’s in store.
It reads: “The NCIS team helps a US ambassador search for her missing daughter, Gia (Caitlin Carmichael), a popular social media influencer.
“Also, Agent Aliyah De León (Briana Marin) returns to support the team with the case.”
Fans will remember Agent Aliyah from the eighth episode of the season when she lent a helping hand to Sam (LL Cool J) and the team.
She’s a long-term pal of Sam and with her returning in episode nine, perhaps there’s more scope for her to help out the team going forward.
And it certainly sounds like star Marin would be open to the idea after penning a heartfelt thank you message after her first stint on the show.
Taking to Instagram after episode eight aired, Marin penned: “Did you catch @ncisla last night?
“Written by the incredible @justinkohlas and @oneadamgeorge and directed by @tawnia_cannell_mckiernan, you can stream ‘A Land of Wolves’ on @paramountplus and other platforms!
“Thank you to mega-talents @medalion_r and the one and only @llcoolj for ushering Agent DeLeon into this brilliant universe.” (sic)
NCIS: Los Angeles season 13 returns to CBS in the USA on Sunday, February 27. A UK release date is yet to be announced.
