NCIS season 19: Kasie and Jimmy to die as returning character forced to step in?

NCIS fans are set to be left on the edge of their seats when the show returns, as Meredith will be against the clock to find the Antidote to save Kasie and Jimmy.

CBS’ highly acclaimed procedural drama NCIS is expected to make its highly anticipated return to screens soon and it looks as though the team could find themselves in trouble. Hopefully, the exciting return of Carol Wilson (Meredith Eaton) will save the lives of the two fan-favourites in a life or death situation.

NCIS among other shows is currently on a mid-season break due to the 2022 Winter Olympics and Celebrity Big Brother.

Networks put a hold on the series as they didn’t want to risk a steep decline in viewership as audiences would more than likely have watched the annual games.

Despite this, the network went ahead and released a first-look image of the upcoming episode ‘The Helper’s which indicate Dr Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) and Kasie Hines (Diona Reasonover) in a life-threatening situation.

With Carol, the immunologist’s, impending return after being forced to step in, fans are left wondering if she will be able to save the fans favourites.

As the team were investigating the death of an intruder Quantico, Jimmy and Kasie ended up being exposed to a deadly biotoxin.\

The two were pictured on the floor, looking weak and covered in sweat as professionals in hazmat suits with testing equipment were next to them.

The first look images also showed Katie and Jimmy holding hands as they were forced to quarantine while Carol worked out if she could find the Antidote.

This would be Eaton’s first return to NCIS since season 11 when the team were investigating a mysterious fast spreading disease.

Her comeback was first reported by TV Insider in December executive producer Steven D. Binder confirmed the news.

He stated: “We’re beyond excited to be able to work with Meredith Eaton again, she’s an amazing actor, who brings a wonderful energy to our show.

“Since her last guest appearance in Season 11, we’ve been chomping at the bit to have her back whenever her schedule allowed.

“And now, with the team desperately needing the help of an expert immunologist, who better than Meredith’s beloved ‘Carol Wilson’ to come and save the day? The only real question is, will she be in time?” he concluded.

Carol will undoubtedly have her work cut out for her, as Jimmy’s daughter Victoria (Elle Graper) also happened to be at the office for ‘Take Your Daughter to Work Day’.

Although Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) will attempt to keep her busy with distractions, in another photo Victoria was seen talking to Jimmy behind a glass wall.

While fans aren’t convinced Jimmy and Kasie will die in this episode, it could force them to look at their priorities and get their lives in order.

The return of NCIS will also be co-written by actor Jimmy and it’ll be his screenwriting debut.

As well as Eaton’s return to the show, fans were also excited when Victoria’s appearance was teased.

His late wife Breene Palmer (Michelle Pierce) gave birth to her in season 12, episode 13’s We Build, We Fight and it was particularly emotional as they named their daughter after Donald “Ducky” Mallard’s (David McCallum) late mother.

Hopefully, Meredith will be able to use her immunologist skills to the fullest extent in order to find the antidote, otherwise, this could see Jimmy and Kasie succumb to the biotoxin.
