NCIS season 19 episode 13 release date: When will NCIS return?

NCIS season 19 has been a memorable series for multiple reasons and episode 13 is expected to be another. So when is the CBS drama making a comeback?
NCIS is one of the most popular police procedurals in the world, having won itself millions of fans over almost two decades. The CBS series hasn’t been seen on screens since the end of January and fans are eager to know when it will be returning. Express.co.uk has everything fans need to know on catching up with the latest NCIS episodes.
NCIS season 19, episode 12, Fight or Flight, originally aired on Monday, January 24, on CBS.

The instalment’s drama primarily revolved around Agent Nick Torres (played by Wilmer Valderrama) who had been distancing himself from the rest of the team as of late.

This was because he felt betrayed by Agent Leroy Gibbs (Mark Harmon) who suddenly left without saying a proper goodbye.

Torres took out his anger in a cage fight during an investigation, which he thankfully won.

He did sustain some injuries though and had a heart-to-heart with chief medical examiner Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) who told Torres to try and forgive and move on.

When will NCIS season 19 episode 13 air?

NCIS hasn’t returned for a new episode on CBS for several weeks now.

This is because the network is instead airing coverage of the Winter Olympics 2022 in Beijing which has shaken up the usual TV schedule.

NCIS isn’t the only show to have been affected by the Games as so has the rest of the NCIS franchise, Blue Bloods and The Good Doctor.

However, there is no need to worry as a return date has already been revealed.

NCIS season 19, episode 13, is going to air on Monday, February 28, on CBS.

This upcoming instalment is going to be particularly interesting as it is the first time Jimmy Palmer actor Brian Dietzen has co-written an episode.

The episode’s synopsis reads: “While investigating the death of an intruder at Quantico, Jimmy and Kasie (Diona Reasonover) are exposed to a deadly biotoxin, and the NCIS team calls on Doctor Carol Wilson (Meredith Eaton) for help as they race to find the antidote.

“Also, Torres tries to distract Jimmy’s daughter, who came to the office to spend the day with her dad.”

As well as the synopsis, some of its guest stars have given an indication that it may very well be a tear-jerker.
Palmer’s wife Breena (Michelle Pierce) died of coronavirus in season 18’s First Day which left viewers heartbroken.

Their daughter Victoria was born in season 12, episode 13 and now, seven series later, she is going to be portrayed by young actress Elle Graper in The Helpers.

Dietzen teased his onscreen daughter’s appearance on Instagram with a picture of them both facing away from the camera in directors’ chairs.

In the caption, Dietzen wrote: “Who’s ready to meet Victoria?”
In reaction to his post, one fan excitedly wrote: “Oh em gee!!!! Are you kidding me? I can’t wait that long!!”

A second said: “I’ve been ready for a while now!”, while another commented: “I’m gonna cry.”

A fourth added: “I am definitely ready to meet Victoria. I am also ready for the episode you’ve written. Your amazing @briankdietzen as Jimmy.”

NCIS season 19 returns to CBS in the USA on Monday, February 28. A UK release date hasn’t yet been announced.
