NCIS LA fans call for Nell Jones to return as new evidence emerges
NCIS LA fans have had their say and have pleaded for bosses to bring Nell Jones back to screens thanks to an exclusive poll by Express.co.uk
After NCIS Los Angeles viewers bid an emotional farewell to Nell Jones (played by Renée Felice Smith) back in 2021, many have made calls for the intelligence analyst to return to the OSP team. Fans had their say in an exclusive poll.
Nell became a beloved member of the team after she joined the crew in season two and where she put her analytical Skills and technological aptitude to good use.
Although she became an invaluable member of the OSP team, it became clear she was no longer happy at work.
This was seen after the unexplained absence of boyfriend Eric Beale (Barrett Foa) who was sent on a top-secret mission by Operations Manage Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt).
While she understood the reasons, Nell told Agent Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah), she no longer looked forward to her job.

As a result, Nell handed in her resignation letter which Hetty didn’t accept and instead asked her to take a few days off to think through her decision.
After being missing for the majority of season 11, Nell said goodbye for good in the season 12 finale.
Alongside Eric, the pair relocated to Tokyo to co-run the international office of his company.
Despite this, fans are eager to see Nell return to screens after taking part in Express.co.uk’s exclusive poll.

Out of all the other characters who had departed from the show, Nell drew 1,514 votes out of 3,131 fan entries.
With 48 percent of people pleading to see the intelligence analyst return to NCIS LA.
Other than Nell, only 23 percent of fans wanted to see Eric return, while just seven percent wanted Harley Hidoko (Andrea Bordeaux) to make a comeback.
Nell made her decision to leave after Retired Navy Admiral Hollace Kilbride (Gerald McRaney) she had to either take Hetty’s position permanently or resign.
Despite her departure, the actress Renée Felice Smith confirmed there was always a chance she could make her return.
She previously shared: “The door always remains open for Nell at NCIS, but it may be time for her to be pushed out of the nest a bit and see where this new opportunity takes her.
“We’ll just have to wait and see with this new chapter
“Nell is like a lot of us. She’s a smart girl and she chose stability for a good long time because it was the smart choice. it was the safe choice.“
Renée continued: “Although she will always be committed to her team, which has essentially become her family.
“I think she needs to put herself first when it comes to this sort of decision and I commend her for [it],” she added to TV Insider.
As well as Nell’s highly anticipated return, fans are also looking forward to seeing Hetty after she disappeared during a mission in Syria.
While the team work to track her down, showrunner R Scott Gemmill confirmed her comeback.
NCIS: Los Angeles season 14 continues Sundays on CBS in the USA. A UK release date is yet to be announced.
