NCIS Los Angeles season 14 teases emotional goodbye in series finale
NCIS Los Angeles season 14 was cancelled by CBS at the beginning of the year due to the significant cost of the drama.
NCIS Los Angeles quietly became one of the longest-running primetime scripted shows for CBS but all good things must come to an end.
The series, which still stars its original cast of Chris O’Donnell, LL Cool J, Daniela Ruah and Eric Christian Olsen, will be finishing with its 14th season that’s currently airing.
The season finale is scheduled to air in a few weeks with the show’s remaining scenes now filmed and ready to go.
It has come out that it’s going to be a two-part finale which will start on Sunday, May 14, and will conclude the following week on Sunday, May 21.
Fans will finally get to see Callen (played by Chris O’Donnell) and Anna Kolcheck (Bar Paly) get married.
Newly released photos show the couple having an understated ceremony with Anna in a simple white blazer and skirt.
Callen’s friends and colleagues are also in attendance, suited and booted for the long-awaited occasion.
This doesn’t mean the show will be slowing down though as in the first part of the finale, New Beginnings, the team investigate a missing ATF agent and stolen military-grade weapons.
This episode will see Callen and Anna planning their wedding, Agent Devin Roundtree’s (Caleb Castille) sister interviewing for medical school and Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) encouraging his dad to take part in a drug test.
New Beginnings Part Two will carry over these storylines with Callen and Anna deciding to go for a more spontaneous ceremony.
After the second and final episode airs, there will be a one-hour special called A Salute to NCIS Los Angeles which will celebrate the series as a whole, hosted by Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier.
The show is going to feature memorable footage and past interviews with cast members over its 14-year history as well as the cast sharing some of their fondest memories.
NCIS Los Angeles season 14 continues every Sunday on CBS.
